NEW RETIREES!  Don't forget to fill out an 1187-R.
State convention is over and had a great time, met some more new friends and as always learned something new.  Our support group from the 3 states did a great job in trying to keep us up to date with what was important to our health, well being and work.

I find my joy of living in the fierce and ruthless battles of life, and my pleasure comes from learning something.  A Strindberg

The Colorado/Wyoming operation support group as always provided the technical staff, "KUDOS" to Pete Taylor and his staff.  Another KUDO goes to Mike Wheeler with his motivational in site on how we can improve our revenue, establish new income and how to keep out of trouble with the new SOX.  Linda as always did a tremendous job establishing the proper training.  Did you need to know about Windows EXCEL or EXCEL II, SOV, CSAW, POV or the new e-Career?  Without this knowledge how do you establish yourself to look at a higher position?  A great big thanks to Linda and her group for all the great training.

John did a great job working on membership and was stirring the other states on ideas to try to recruit more new members.

I think and think for months and years.  Ninety-nine times, the conclusion is false.  The hundredth time I am right.  A Einstein

Steve, WOW!!!  What a vast amount of knowledge this officer has to share.  He kept us informed of issues up and coming that effects us all from WEP to GPO and everything in between.  Wonder what changes are happening to and around your office this is the person that can keep you up to date.

Cindy did a great job with her committee sitting up entertainment, lunches and schedules.  If you weren't there you missed a great time at Casino nite where fun was had by all.  She worked with the Bob and Bob of NAPUS NASCAR racing and was amazed at the precision of this track group.  The auction and race went off without a glitch.

Happy are all free peoples, too strong to be dispossessed.  But blessed are those among nations who dare to be strong for the rest!  EB Browning

Retirees?  Hey, it was great to see the large group and receive feedback on what they can do to help with conventions, office closings and other issues for Postmasters.  Keep pushing us with all of your ideas.

During the business session we decided to post locations of the 2010 convention in the newsletter to get an idea where the chapter at large would like to see it held.  Also there was great competition for the officer positions and you will have a new group of leaders coming in September.  Remember your support is always needed.

The New Mexico and Arizona chapters helped just the right amount by having some of their support people attend, teach and train.  By sharing the convention with them allowed all who attended to see some of the same issues being handled a little differently.  Also new ideas on how they tackled some of their issues.

Chip and Gerald and their officers need a large, THANK YOU, for helping pull off a great convention.

He started to sing as he tackled the thing, That couldn't be done, and he did it!  EA Guest

So, where was the ones afraid to lose their annual leave????  Are we going to see them in St. Louie????  Convention leave is still yours to use for a little while so when is the majority going to use some of it????

Check out the website where Micah and Greg did a tremendous job getting photos and info posted on the 3 State convention.

Until next time, if you can't find a way to pamper yourself to attend the National, remember Let's us do together, what we cannot do alone and as always, Getr Done!!
